Many, many, thanks to the staff and customers of The Howard Arms in Carlisle, for officially launching our Northernline cocktail with style, knocked out with equal style by Vicky in a marathon cocktail shaking stint that would have put Tom Cruise to shame. Special thanks to anyone who attended in suitable attire, cocktail dresses and black tie in some cases.

If you’ve not tried it, The Howard, on Lowther Street is a cracking little, old fashioned pub, with a series of interconnecting rooms, uncommon in many pubs today, where the fashion has been to rip out all the internal walls to make large soulless drinking halls… and of course, it can now claim to be the first pub in the world to sell the icy blue wonder, that is the Northernline.
