Whitley Bay Film Festival 2010, have added an intriguing poll to their site  http://whitleybayfilmfestival.co.uk/favourite-film giving visitors a chance to vote on a special screening of their favourite film of the 70’s. The list looks pretty comprehensive too. Apocalypse Now, Godfather part II, Star Wars, even Northern favourite Get Carter, in the week they started demolition of the Trinity Square carpark … easy to forget some of the classics that came out of that decade.

Of course Jaws is absent from the list, as mentioned in our earlier post… as its being screened on the beach on the 21st August. … (cue spooky cello!)
