Athletes in Paris release their second single today. Monday the 8th of August 2011. It’s called Heartbeat and is available to download from their bandcamp site for FREE, yes for Free: http://athletesinparis.bandcamp.com/

Its released on The Animal Farm label and is a swirling, dancy, sound of the summer type tune. They’ve been going down a storm at gigs round the country and at the Evolution Festival in their native Newcastle. There’s also loads of twiddly, dancey, remixes available on the site above. Watch out for them in the future starting tomorrow night with their single launch and at other dates listed below:

9th August, The Bridge Hotel, Newcastle. Heartbeat Single Launch alongside Sarah Holmes and Hattie Murdoch. 8pm.

8th September, 93 Feet East, London. Spindle Introuducing. Alongside Air Castle and One Sixth Of Tommy. 8pm.

10th September, Sunderland Winter Museums & Gardens, Split Transmission with guests Tom Robinson and Barry Hyde (The Futureheads) alongside Lake Poets and Mausi.2pm.

27th October, Riverside, Newcastle with support from The Greeting Committee and Motion Tourist. 8pm
